Responsible Gaming

1. This is entertainment, and with play money

Albirroja.com runs on play money: no money is deposited, no money is withdrawn and no prize is convertible. We still publish these tools and keep them working, because the habit is formed here and because we would rather they exist before they are needed.

Gaming is entertainment. It stops being that when it takes time needed for something else, when you play to win back what you lost, or when you hide how much you play. None of those three is fixed by playing a little more.

2. Betting limits: daily, weekly and monthly

You set them in My limits (albirroja.com/mi-cuenta/juego-responsable). You can use all three at once or only the one you need. Once set, the system adds up what you have staked in the relevant window and rejects the play that would exceed it.

The check happens on the server, before the bet is recorded: it does not depend on the screen remembering or on the device cooperating.

Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising or removing it does not: that request waits and only applies twenty-four hours later, so that the decision to loosen a limit is not taken at the very moment it is hardest to hold. While it waits, the old limit still applies; and if you ask to lower it in the meantime, the pending loosening is cancelled.

3. Temporary break

A break closes access to play for the period you choose, without closing the account. During the break you can sign in and see your history, but any attempt to bet is rejected by the server.

A break cannot be shortened once active, only extended. That is the point: if it could be lifted on the spot, it would not be a break.

4. Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion blocks betting for a long period or indefinitely, as you choose. You activate it from My limits, and you can also request it through the contact form.

While in force, the server rejects every bet from that account. Like the break, it can only be extended: it is not shortened or reversed on request before the period ends.

5. Over-18s only

Registration and use of the site are permitted only to people aged eighteen or over, and the server checks the date of birth. If an adult shares their device with minors, they should protect account access with the password and not leave the session open.

Parental control tools exist that can restrict access to gaming sites from the device itself or from the home network.

6. Signs worth watching for

Playing longer or more than intended. Playing again to win back losses. Thinking about play while doing something else. Hiding how much you play from people close to you. Getting irritable when trying to stop. Putting off obligations or rest to keep playing.

If several of these appear together, it is worth activating a break and talking it over with someone you trust. In Paraguay you can ask the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare about the mental health services available in the public network.

7. Where to ask for help within the site

The three tools are in My limits, inside your account. If something does not work, or if you would rather the team applied the self-exclusion, the contact form is the channel: self-exclusion requests are handled as a priority and without asking for explanations.
